“In 2010 I visited my native country for the first time to volunteer there for 3 weeks. During this unique experience I discovered Masala Chai. It was my daily break, my cup of comfort and my dose of energy.”

“In India I saw how the tea stalls had a connecting role: all strata from the highly segregated Indian society gathered there several times a day for a drink. That connection inspired me to spread it here as well.”

When the Chaiwallah stirs the drink, after pouring it into his stall, bystanders and waiting customers shout, “Chalo!” meaning “Let’s go, we have to move on”. With this energy, we also work on our mission. Let’s go! Chalo!
